Nancy

Nancy Soule made her first recording at the age of five and hasn’t stopped singing since. From a family that graced the stages of vaudeville, opera, and music hall, she has a versatile repertoire that spans jazz, blues, rock, pop, soul, country, doo-wop, Broadway, and inspirational music. Since 1990, she has performed professionally with several a cappella groups (as both soprano & alto) as well as several notable bands. In 2007 she wrote, produced, and arranged a program with a professional 6-piece band called “Shades of Blue, a Century of Blues” for the Museum of Making Music (an affiliate of NAMM.) In 2008 she did the same for “The Magic of Motown”. She is the vocalist for several professional groups including: the all female rock band - Haute Flash, the top-40 band Art Deco & the New Era (since 2004), both vocals and keyboards for the blues/classic rock band BayWolf (since 1995), the jazz duo Heart & Soul (since 1999), and the big band Smooth Operator (since 2005).

She is also the featured soloist for Carlsbad Unity Church.

Nancy has a B.A. in Theater/Music from U.C.L.A. where she was the recipient of the prestigious Gladys Turk Vocal Award. She also holds two graduate degrees in theater costuming and fashion design from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, where she has been an instructor since 1993. She is a public speaker, a columnist, and an author. Other training has included television commercial, radio voice-over, and stage acting.
